The Most Popular Used Cars of 2023

The team behind the car buying website, Cinch has revealed the most popular car buying trends of the year based on millions of searches each month on their website. At the top of the list of the most popular used car models of 2023 were the Ford Fiesta, the VW Golf, Ford Focus and the Mercedes A-Class. The figures also revealed that the most popular used car brands of the year were Audi, BMW, Ford and Volkswagen. 

The Fiesta was the most popular car on cinch’s website for the second year in a row, with its design, features and affordability all continuing to appeal to used car buyers. The Mercedes A-Class dropped from second most popular car in 2022 to fourth place in this year’s list. 

We are all aware that electric vehicles and hybrids are becoming increasingly popular. The most search for cars in this category were the Tesla Model 3, the Toyota C-HR, the Nissan Leaf and VW Golf. While the C-HR has slipped off the top spot this year, Toyota still has plenty to be proud of. The Japanese brand appears three times in Cinch’s electric and hybrid list, with the Yaris (7th) and Corolla (10th). The Corolla is the only new model to enter the 2023 EV and hybrid list, having overtaken the BMW i3 in terms of popularity.
