Disabled Motoring UK campaigns on behalf of all disabled motorists, passengers and Blue Badge holders. We represent their interests at both local and national levels, and engage with government and industry to ensure that the voice of disabled people is heard. Disabled Motoring UK is the only UK charity that campaigns on behalf of disabled motorists in this way.
DMUK has had a very good history of campaigning. Our predecessor organisations successfully campaigned for the Blue Badge scheme, Mobility allowance and Motability. In recent years DMUK have secured an exemption from the London Congestion Charge, played an important role in reforming the Blue Badge scheme and have changed a number of local authority parking charges policies.
But our work does not stop here. Current government welfare reforms are threatening the mobility of many disabled people, the Blue Badge scheme is being abused and disabled people are struggling to park in their towns and cities and also at hospital. We are campaigning to make life better for disabled people and you can read about our campaigns by following the links on the left hand side.
You can help lend your voice to our campaigns by joining the charity today, for just £24 per year.
