Park Access is a brand new accreditation that aims to become recognised throughout the whole of the UK for accessible and inclusive parking and electric vehicle charging facilities. Park Access will enable everyone, regardless of their accessibility needs, to identify car parks and facilities, such as EV charge points, that they can use with ease.

Accredit your site from only £100 + VAT

Park Access incorporates two existing schemes - The Disabled Parking Accreditation (DPA) and People's Parking – which are ending. Whilst both the DPA and People's Parking measured similar criteria as part of their assessment of a parking facility’s accessibility, Park Access takes these standards and raises them still further to automatically become the UK's industry benchmark for accessible and inclusive parking and electric vehicle charging facilities. Check out the information leaflet.

Who owns Park Access?

Park Access is jointly owned by the BPA and Disabled Motoring UK and will be managed and administered by the BPA.

Pricing (please note these prices are effective 1st October 2023)

To become a member of the Park Access Scheme there is an annual fee of £80 + VAT.

There is a charge for registering each facility that qualifies for the Park Access accreditation. A sliding scale exists that provides a discount relative to the number of facilities you wish to register as follows, this is in line with the fees for the Park Mark Award:

Discounts are available for members who hold both Park Mark awards and Park Access accreditations. The assessments will be undertaken at the same time reducing our administation and operational costs and we can pass these savings onto the award and accredition holders.

Safer Parking Scheme Members qualify for a discounted annual Park Access membership fee of £30 + VAT

Sites that achieve both the Park Mark award and the Park Access accreditation qualify for a discounted Park Access registration fee of £100 + VAT per accredited site.

Disabled Motoring UK and The British Parking Association are non-profit organisations. Proceeds from Park Access after operational costs are used to continually promote and raise standards for accessible parking.
