M25 J10 : Upcoming Closures

Posted in General News on Tuesday, August 13th, 2024

Please consider these closures when planning your journey.

National Highways overnight closures usually start from 10pm and finish by 5.30am Monday to Thursday and from 11pm Friday to finish by 6am on Saturday. Please note that these can change depending on the volume of traffic and when we can close the road safely.

M25 Junction 10 Eastbound Carriageway Closure

For 12 hours from 9pm Saturday 10 August to 9am Sunday 11 August they will be closing the M25 eastbound carriageway (towards Gatwick) at J10 between the exit slip road and the entry slip road to enable the team to carry out another concrete pour to the new bridge we installed last month.

The diversion for this closure will involve traffic temporarily leaving the M25 at the J10 exit slip travelling around the gyratory before immediately rejoining the M25 via the J10 entry slip.

During this closure, the westbound carriageway (from Gatwick towards Heathrow) will be reduced to two lanes but will remain open. Additionally, the A3 is not affected and will be fully open. All slip roads between the M25 and A3 will also be open and available.

Wisley Lane

For three nights from Monday 12 August to Wednesday between 10pm and 5.30am Wisley Lane will be closed to for UK Power Networks (UKPN) diversion works.

The diversion for the A3 will be via the A3 northbound to Esher common and return to the A245 Painshill, then turning right onto the A245 towards Byfleet, then left onto Pyrford Road and then left to Lock Lane. The diversion for Wisley lane will be via Lock Lane to Pyrford Road and then right to the A245 and continue to Painshill.

Please do not use a satnav when following any of our diversions because there is a risk it could direct you down an unsuitable road or back onto the network where it is closed.
B2039 Ockham Road North

The closure on the northbound B2039 Ockham Road North to carry utility works and alterations to the approach to the roundabout has been removed until Thursday 19 September. This is to facilitate the SGN works on the A247 Clandon Road.

Roadworks on the A245 Continue

To ease the congestion around the works on the A245, the A3 northbound off slip at Painshill has been closed. This closure will remain in place until the end of November 2024 whilst National Highways continue with their works in this area.

The closure of the A3 northbound off slip at Painshill helps to improve the eastbound traffic flow along the A245. To also ease the traffic flow in the area changes have been made to the sequencing of the traffic signals on all sides of the Painshill roundabout to favour the flow eastbound on the A245. National Highways apologise for the inconvenience this is causing. Further information on this including answers to your many questions can be found here

These closures coincide with other ongoing improvements on the network including the installation of additional emergency areas on the M25 J23-27, M25 J5-7, M4 J10-12, M3 J2-4a and M20 J3-5.

More information about these works can be found here. Local diversions will be in place. Drivers should look to re-route or re-time their journeys. Please plan ahead.
