Posted in General News on Friday, July 19th, 2024

As we continue to make good progress with our works, we are writing to let you know about three planned closures we need to put in place.

These closures are to enable Affinity Water to undertake water main works and so that we can make alterations Ockham Park roundabout approach.

For the first closure, the northbound B2039 Ockham Road North will be closed over a distance of about ⅓ km on its approach to the Ockham Park roundabout. The closure will last for 2 weeks from Monday 22 July until Saturday 3 August. During this time, it will be possible to leave Ockham Park roundabout heading south towards Ockham and Horsley but not travel in the opposite direction.

This closure is being removed for a period of two weeks to allow for the SGN closure of the A247 Clandon Road, during which time we will continue to carry out testing to the water main. We are removing our closure to minimise the amount work being undertaken on the Surrey road network for that two week period

The diversion will be via Ockham Road North to Forest Road and then left onto Old Lane, left onto the southbound A3 and leaving the A3 at the B2215 Ripley slip road to reach the Ockham Park roundabout.

For the second closure, the northbound B2039 Ockham Road North will be closed in both direction over a distance of about ⅓ km on its approach to the Ockham Park roundabout as will the entire roundabout. The closure will take place between 10pm and 5.30am (weeknights only) for 2 weeks from Monday 22 July until Saturday 3 August.

The diversions for this closure are:

For the A3 south bound, traffic will be to remain on the A3 to the Burpham Junction and return via the A3 North Jacobs Well exiting the A3 North at the B2215 Ripley

For traffic from Ripley, will be via the B2215 Portsmouth Road to the A247 Clandon Road and the A3 South to Burpham and return via the A3 North Jacobs Well to the M25 J10.

For traffic exiting Mill Lane, will be to turn left only and travel to the M25 J10 and return via the A3 south joining the diversion for the A3 south slip road

The third closure will be put in place once SGN have completed gas work on the A247 Clandon Road.

The northbound B2039 Ockham Road North over a distance of about ⅓ km on its approach to the Ockham Park roundabout will be closed again. This closure will last for 7 weeks from Monday 19 August until Sunday 6 October. During this time, it will be possible to leave Ockham Park roundabout heading south towards Ockham and Horsley but not travel in the opposite direction.

Please consider these closures when planning your journey.
