Roadworks and Closures for Week Commencing 10th June
Posted in General News on Monday, June 10th, 2024
Week commencing Monday 10 June
From Monday 10 June to Friday 14 June between 10pm and 5am each night National Highways will be closing the A3 southbound exit slip road to Ockham and the eastern side of the roundabout. Traffic travelling from Ripley to the A3 north will be unaffected. There will be no right turn for traffic exiting Mill Lane and they will be diverted up to the M25 J10 and return.
Traffic on the A3 southbound will be diverted via the A3 south to Burpham where they will use Clay Lane and return via the A3 north to the B2215 Ripley exit. Traffic coming from Ripley wishing to access Ockham Road North will need to travel to the M25 J10 and return and turn left to Old Lane and then right to Ockham Lane.
Traffic on Ockham Road North wanting to access the Ockham roundabout will need to follow Ockham Road North to Ockham Road South and then turn right to the A246 and continue to the Clandon Crossroads turning right to the A247 to Send where the diversion will end.
Saturday 15 June and Sunday 16 June
Between 9pm Saturday 15 June and 9am Sunday 16 June the M25 will be closed in both directions as it passes through the junction 10 / A3 interchange, for an extended overnight closure.
During this time, traffic will be directed to leave the M25 at the junction 10 / A3 exit slips, pass around the roundabout and rejoin the motorway via the entry slips.
Between 8pm Saturday 15 June to 6am Sunday 16 June and 8pm Sunday 16 June and 6am Monday 17 June Old Lane will be closed in both directions from the entrance to Wisley and Ockham Commons Carpark to the A3.
The diversion for the A3 Slip Road will be via the A3 South to the Ockham Park Junction and then Ockham Road North to Ockham Lane ending at Old Lane.
The diversion for Old Lane will be via Ockham Lane to Ockham Road North to the Ockham Park Roundabout and then the B2215 Portsmouth Road to the A247 Clandon Road and then the slip to the A3 south bound.
Please do not use a Satnav when following any of the diversions because there is a risk it could direct you down an unsuitable road or back onto the network where it is closed.
Roadworks on the A245 continue
To ease the congestion around our works on the A245, the A3 northbound off slip at Painshill will remain closed. This is to improve the eastbound traffic flow along the A245. To ease the traffic flow in the area they have also made changes to the sequencing of the traffic signals on all sides of the Painshill roundabout to favour the flow eastbound on the A245.
National Highways apologise for the inconvenience this is causing. Further information on this, including answers to your many questions can be found at https://s3.eu-west-2.amazonaws.com/assets.nationalhighways.co.uk/roads/road-projects/M25+junction+10+to+A3+Wisley+Interchange/A245+Summary+%26+FAQ.pdf
These closures coincide with other ongoing improvements on the network including the installation of additional emergency areas on the M25 J23-27, M25 J5-7, M4 J10-12, M3 J2-4a and M20 J3-5.
