M25 junction 10/A3 Wisley interchange Upcoming Closures

Posted in General News on Wednesday, May 22nd, 2024

Planned closures for the next two weeks. Weeks commencing Monday 20 May and Monday 27 May.

Please consider these closures when planning your journey.

National Highways overnight closures usually start from 10pm and finish by 5.30am Monday to Thursday and 11pm to 6am Friday but this can change depending on the volume of traffic and when we can close the road safely.

Week commencing Monday 20 May
From Monday 20 May to Friday 24 May there will be full overnight closures of the M25 southern gyratory inclusive of the M25 clockwise exit and entry slip roads and the A3 Southbound entry slip road.

The diversion for clockwise traffic is via the M25 Junction 11 (Chertsey) and for anticlockwise traffic the diversion is via M25 Junction 9 (Leatherhead) and the A3 northbound (Painshill) and return.

They advise you not to use a Satnav when following any of our diversions because there is a risk it could direct you down an unsuitable road or back onto the network when it is closed.

Week commencing Monday 27 May
There are no closures planned this week.

With immediate effect
To ease the congestion around their works on the A245, the A3 northbound off slip at Painshill will be closed for a period of up to 10 weeks, initially to secure an improved eastbound traffic flow along the A245. This closure came into effect at the end of last week and they also made changes to the sequencing of the traffic signals on all sides of the Painshill roundabout to favour the flow eastbound on the A245.

These closures coincide with other ongoing improvements on the network including the installation of additional emergency areas on the M25 J23-27, M25 J5-7, M4 J10-12, M3 J2-4a and M20 J3-5. More information about these works can be found here.
