Elizabeth Line Now Open

The new Elizabeth Line provides fully accessible step free access to more of London.  The line covers more than 100km from Reading and Heathrow in the West through to Shenfield and Abby Wood in the East. There will be 41 stops along the line, and it is expected to serve 2 million people every year. Each station along the line is fully staffed so you will be able to get assistance throughout every stage of your journey.  The new trains used on the line have four dedicated wheelchair accessible spaces.

Accessible toilets opened via NKS key are available at Abbey Wood, Custom House, Farringdon, Tottenham Court Road, and Whitechapel in the central section, as well as all stations on the east and west sections.

Those who require step-free access it is advisable to board at carriage five where the accessible spaces are located. Rail customers can use TfL’s travel mentoring service to get accessibility support when using this new part of the network. However, the current ‘turn up and go’ service will also be available.
