The NEC welcomes celebrity guest speakers to The Big Event

Graeme Hall and Richard Whitehead to headline the Motability Scheme’s flagship event

Disabled people and their friends and family can look forward to two special guest speakers at The Motability Scheme’s flagship event taking place in Birmingham this month. Graeme Hall, Channel 5’s Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly presenter, and gold medal-winning Paralympian Richard Whitehead will be taking to The Big Event stage to share their stories and answer visitor questions.

The Big Event is free to attend and takes place at the NEC, Birmingham on Friday 20 May and Saturday 21 May from 9am to 4pm. Across the two days, visitors will hear from experts about the latest Motability Scheme news, electric vehicles (EVs), new car technology, WAVs, adaptations, accessible days out, dog training and more. Plus, all the speaker sessions will be streamed live online just in case disabled motorists can’t make it to The Big Event in person.

On Friday 20 May, you can meet and hear from Graeme Hall from Channel 5’s Dogs Behaving (Very) Badly. Described as ‘Britain’s best dog trainer’, Graeme criss-crosses the country helping dog owners with behavioural problems. His motto is ‘Any dog, any age, any problem’. At this year’s The Big Event, he will be sharing his pooch training tales and will also be answering all your canine questions on stage. Please note that only assistance dogs are allowed into the NEC for The Big Event.

Then, on the Saturday, The Big Event will host Richard Whitehead, Paralympic gold medallist, half and full marathon World Record holder, and a participant in this year’s Celebrity Hunted! Richard is one of the world’s best sprinters and will be on stage in Birmingham. sharing tales of his sporting accomplishments and experiences

If visitors aren’t able to attend in person, the Motability Scheme will be live streaming all the Speaker Sessions PLUS exclusive live interviews, product demos and Q&As hosted by Helen Dolphin, MBE available to view on MotabilityTheBigEvent.co.uk from 9:30am on Friday 20 May 2022.
