Moto Makes EV Charging Commitment

Posted in General News on Wednesday, June 9th, 2021

Moto motorway services has launched Rugby service station on the M6. This is the firm’s first new station in 14 years, and it holds 24 ultra-rapid electric vehicle (EV) chargers. Moto has pledged that a further 28 sites across the country will have ultra-rapid chargers installed by the end of the year and hopes that all of its service stations will have at least six of these chargers installed by 2022. These new installations are part of the Electric Highway, the UKs nationwide charging network. Tod Harper the CEO of the Energy Solutions Company Gridserve, which is working on the Electric Highway, said: After announcing our Electric Highway partnership with Ecotricity in March, and supported by Hitachi Capital (UK) PLC, we’ve been hard at work putting in the charging infrastructure needed to give people the confidence to make the transition to electric vehicles.”
