Team BRIT Offering Gift Experience Vouchers this Christmas

Posted in General News on Thursday, November 28th, 2019

Team BRIT, the competitive racing team comprising entirely of disabled drivers, is offering people the opportunity of purchasing gift experience vouchers for a disabled driver this Christmas courtesy of its Racing Academy. In 2020 the first two academy track days will be held on Sunday 16th February and Wednesday 25th March at Silverstone. More dates will be announced soon and the gift vouchers can be used for any track day next year.

Team BRIT’s Racing Academy was launched this year with the aim of providing motorsport coaching and tuition at race tracks across the UK. Those who take part in Team BRIT’s Race Academy track days will have the chance to try out the team’s world-leading hand control technology on a state-of-the-art simulator before driving on the track in a specially modified Volkswagen Polo of BMW. The team held a total of ten academy track days this year providing experiences for more than 70 disabled drivers. Team BRIT’s Founder and CEO, Dave Player commented: “The feedback we have received from customers in our first year of running our Academy has just been phenomenal.
Most of the people who attend are using conventional push/pull hand controls in their road cars and would never have thought they could drive cars on race tracks in the way they can with Team BRIT.  Our hand controls are world leading, and show disabled drivers that they really can experience motorsport and they really can be competitive. This is a life changing experience for some people and we’re looking forward to welcoming more people to the track in 2020.  What an amazing gift to give – I hope it could be the Christmas present of dreams for many people.”
