What Impact have Disability Benefit Reforms Had on Businesses?

Posted in General News on Thursday, September 19th, 2019

Researchers from Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) are looking into the effect that the disability benefit reforms have had on disabled business owners and disabled people in self-employment over the past decade. This includes the introduction of Personal Independence Payment (PIP) and the changes that have been made to the Access to Work Scheme.  The MMU researchers are keen to find out how these changes to the benefits system impacted personal wellbeing, business practices, and the business performance of disabled people in self-employment.
