Using the European Toilet Key

Posted in General News on Friday, June 1st, 2018

Members of Disabled Motoring UK have the opportunity to borrow a European Toilet Key from the office for the duration of their time abroad. If you wish to borrow this key we ask for a £5.00 donation to cover the cost of hire along with a deposit of £25.00, which will be processed if the key is not returned to the office by the prearranged date. The Euro Key scheme is mainly used in Germany and Austria, so if you are travelling to either of those countries and would like to borrow the key please call the office on 01508 489 449 to discuss the terms with a member of staff.

I borrowed one from you several years ago. However you only have to ask at the Cash Desk or from an Attendant if there is one. Disability toilets are free of charge. Sometimes they are open. I travel frequently on Coach Holidays. Toilets are clean and well equipped. If I find something wrong I always report it. I would like to get my own key. I understand they can be obtained from a Local Council Building. UK keys are no use in Europe. Most regular toilets are accessible by turnstile with a charge. I have had a turnstile dismantled to let me through with my Rollator. Thank you for bringing this up again.

I travel around 30 times a year abroad. How do I buy a key to keep?
