Disabled Access Day 2019

Posted in General News on Monday, March 19th, 2018

The next Disabled Access Day will take place on 16th March 2019. Disabled Access Day is organised by the accessibility reviewing website, Euan’s Guide, and it now takes place every two years. The primary function of the event is to promote the need for good quality disabled access by giving participating businesses and attractions the opportunity to showcase their accessibility and encourage disabled people to visit. Thousands of disabled people and their families and friends have taken part in previous Disabled Access Days by visiting a variety of different accessible locations around the UK.  The range of businesses and attractions that participated in Disabled Access Day 2017 was vast and it included SailAbility organisations, a number of art galleries which provided touch and audio descriptive torus for the sensory impaired and much more.

For up-to-date information on the businesses and venues that are set to be involved in Disabled Access Day 2019 and to register your own interest visit www.disabledaccessday.com/get-involved/.
