DVLA Expands the Online Notification Service for Drivers with Medical Conditions

The DVLA has expanded its online medical notification service, making it quicker and easier for drivers to check whether they need to notify DVLA about a health condition.
The service now covers around 1,600 health conditions and is currently available to car and motorcycle licence holders. Drivers can complete notifications online without relying on paper forms, submit information directly to the DVLA and track the progress of their application. The service is available 24 hours a day and can save drivers up to ten days compared with paper applications.
The online service also allows drivers to renew a medical driving licence, renew their licence and photograph at the same time, and notify DVLA about multiple medical conditions in a single application.
Further updates are planned in the coming months, including online medical notifications for drivers renewing their licence at age 70 and for first-time provisional licence applicants.

It is about time something was done about medical driving licences.I filled in my paper application and made an error in doing so. I reported about my left knee (need new joint) However DVLA in their wisdom decided the both limbs where affected. Now they have revoked my Licence. They did not contact my GP or any other consultant about this. If they had sent a form to my GP/Consultant they would have got the facts that it is only my left knee that is affected. That I drive an automatic car and and fit to drive. It's been 3 months since they revoked my licence and I am still no further forward in getting it back. I have rang I have emailed the medical team. They lost my email initially I just cant get through to them. The email I sent was an explanation about it is only left knee, the right leg is fine and that I drive and automatic car. I am at my wits end with all of this. I can not even track this. So hopfull others will have a better time with the new system
