Important Road Closures on the M3, A34 & A33

3 Full Weekend Closures (Junctions 8–9) 

To safely install steel beams for the new bridge decks at the M3 roundabout, there will be full closures of the M3 in both directions between junctions 8 and 9 on the following weekends: 
• 9 pm Friday 30 January to 6 am Monday 2 February 2026 
• 9 pm Friday 13 February to 6 am Monday 16 February 2026 

These closures are essential to complete the bridge work safely and efficiently.

A34 & A33 24-Hour Southbound Closure 

Work is continuing on the Kings Worthy Bridge. After successfully removing the northern beam in November, the next step is installing the new beam. Because of the size of the crane needed for this installation, we’ll require a full 24-hour closure on the southbound A34 and A33: 

• 9 pm Saturday 7 February until 9 pm Sunday 8 February 2026 

This closure affects: 

✔ A34 southbound (from Three Maids Hill) 
✔ A33 southbound (from the Cart and Horses junction)
