Upcoming A3 Closures Travel Information and Planned Works

We wanted to pass on the latest information about planned closures and works on the A3 over the coming week. There’s a lot happening around the M25 Junction 10 and Painshill areas, so it’s worth checking your route before you travel. 

Emergency Closures at Ockham 

There are currently emergency closures at the Ockham interchange while SGN carries out urgent repair work. This affects the southbound A3 exit to Ockham roundabout, Ockham Road North, and the right turn from Mill Lane. A separate update with more details is expected later today. 

Full Weekend Closure 

The A3 will be closed in both directions between M25 Junction 10 and the A245 Painshill interchange from 9pm on Friday 31 October until 6am on Monday 3 November. 
Southbound drivers will be diverted from the Hook interchange via the A243, joining the M25 at Junction 9 or rejoining the A3 at Junction 10. Non-motorway traffic can take the A24, A246 and A247 to rejoin the A3 at Send. 

Northbound traffic will be diverted via the M25 eastbound to Junction 9, then through the A243, A309, A307 and A245 to Painshill. A non-motorway diversion is also available via Send, the A247 and A246. 

Daytime Restrictions 

From Monday 3 to Friday 7 November, temporary traffic signals will operate on Wisley Lane between Ockham Roundabout and Wisley Bridge from 9am to 4pm each day. The road will stay open, but minor delays are expected. 

Overnight Closures 

Several overnight works are planned throughout the week:

Friday 31 October and Saturday 1 November: The northbound A3 will be closed between Send and M25 Junction 10 overnight. 

Monday 3 to Friday 7 November: The Ockham Roundabout will close each night (9pm–6am) for construction work. Access to Mill Lane will be maintained under escort. 

Monday 3 and Tuesday 4 November: Painshill roundabout and nearby sections of the A245 will close overnight. 

Wednesday 5 to Saturday 8 November: The southbound A3 will close between Painshill and Send, and later between Painshill and Junction 10. 

M25 Lane Closures 

Between Monday 3 and Friday 7 November, the outside two lanes of the M25 will be closed overnight between Cobham Services and Junction 10, though the motorway will remain open. 

Plan Ahead 

It’s set to be a busy week for roadworks in this area. Please plan ahead, allow extra time, and follow diversion signage to help keep traffic moving safely.
