Advance Notice: M27 Full Closure - Christmas & New Year 2025

Full closure between Junctions 9 (Whiteley) and 11 (Fareham) 

Drivers in the Fareham and Gosport areas should plan ahead this festive season, as a full closure of the M27 is scheduled between 8pm on Wednesday 24 December 2025 and 4am on Sunday 4 January 2026. The motorway will be closed in both directions between Junctions 9 (Whiteley) and 11 (Fareham) while a major engineering operation takes place. 
While this will cause short-term inconvenience, it is seen as major step forward in improving local infrastructure, and National Highways thank everyone in advance for their patience and understanding.
