HGVs could get Longer

In another effort to reduce the air pollution which is caused by vehicle traffic, the government is in the process of trialling a fleet of just under 1,800 extended Heavy Goods Vehicles (HGVs) These HGVs are two metres longer than the vehicles that are currently permitted for haulage in the UK.
