the Disabled parking accreditation

Disabled Motoring UK  has  launched a  parking standard called the Disabled Parking Accreditation (DPA) which recognises off-street car parks  that are accessible to disabled people. It is an independent not-for-profit scheme run by DMUK and managed by the British Parking Association.

The DPA aims at improving parking for disabled motorists, reducing abuse of disabled bays .

Car parks that achieve the DPA will  be demonstrating to their customers that they are committed to creating high quality parking facilities for disabled people. They also will be promoting their business that has their disabled customers  needs met and is  committed to provide best customer experience.

In order to qualify for the scheme we require car park owners/operators to meet the following criteria by providing:

Accessible bays
Clear signage
Accessible routes
Good Lighting
Easy entry to the car park
Accessible payment machines
